Hi,

If you are able to sell what your employer does and enjoys, then we are looking for you!

Our foreign missions are in seven countries, e.g. in Zambia, Iraq, Mongolia or Georgia. Currently, we have more than 200 employees all over the world, and it´s 25 of us in Prague. We help to improve living conditions in various countries so that local people can manage the challenges they have ahead and improve their lives. Thus, we know for whom we do our work. Our activities have a real impact and a broad outreach.

What would be your role?

Caritas Czech Republic is now at the top of its game. One of the main priorities is maintaining the relationship with institutional donors, deepening productive communication and cooperation with them. Your role is to manage the network of contacts with institutional donors (mainly European Commission, UN Agencies, Czech Development Agency etc.), know their strategies perfectly, be able to seek out opportunities where Caritas Czech Republic could use its know-how and experience. At the same time, you will cooperate with our Heads of Missions abroad, Desk Officers and Regional Managers in the central office and become their partner and advisor so that we can all work towards a single goal: maximizing the reputation and awareness of Caritas Czech Republic among donors. This includes a proactive search of new opportunities and contacts with new donors, following trends so that our organization is a leader in innovations and modern approaches to humanitarian help and development cooperation. There is a lot of traveling associated with the position, mainly to Brussels and other European cities, although now in the covid period it is of course limited.

What do we expect from you?

  • persuasiveness, creativity, ideas, energy as well as carefulness and thoroughness,
  • helpfulness and positive attitude,
  • ability to talk and write in a concise, structured and convincing way about what the organization does and what its competence is,
  • perfect knowledge of both spoken and written English.

What can we offer?

Above all, respect for your work and a very open and fair approach, providing you with confidence and the joy that things are moving forward.

Jirka Škvor

Head of the Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation department
