We are looking for an intern to join the EASPD’s headquarters in Brussels. The intern will work directly with and under the supervision of EASPD’s Policy Manager and in close cooperation with other members of the Policy team. The work would involve covering a broad variety of topics; including the European Pillar on Social Rights, the UN CRPD, EU Recovery Plan and other areas of interest to social service provision.

The intern will be expected to:

  • Support the drafting of policy reports, briefings, articles and studies on several of the aforementioned policy areas
  • Support the organisation of policy events at national and European level
  • Monitor policy media and publications
  • Assist in the management and administration of European projects

Profile

  • Demonstrate strong interest in policy analysis and policy making processes
  • A basic understanding of and commitment to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, its principles and what it means for care and support providers
  • Basic experience in the organisation of policy and/or project events is desired
  • Basic experience in the drafting of policy inputs is desired
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English (other languages are an asset)
  • Proven ability to work successfully both independently and in a team
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

Terms of the contract

  • Minimum 35 hours / week and based in Brussels (working also remotely due to COVID-19 recommendations in place), part time is not possible.
  • Remuneration of 100€ +, local transport costs covered.
  • Minimum 6 months internship.
  • The desired starting date is 3rd May 2021
