Within delegated authority, the Programme Assistant (CBT) will be responsible for the following duties:

  1. Under the supervision of the Programme Associate, coordinate the technical setup and the implementation of WFPs monthly cash-based transfers through WFP’s internal platform (SCOPE) with CBT focal points in Field Offices (FOs) and involved Country Office (CO) units according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
  2. Prepare the monthly Distribution plan in liaison with CBT focal points in FOs and coordinate with other CO units to raise the related purchase requisitions and orders accordingly;
  3. Support as required the beneficiary data collection process by WFP’s cooperating partners (CPs), in coordination with the CBT focal points in FOs;
  4. Regularly liaise with CBT focal points in FOs to ensure FOs have sufficient equipment to implement CBT programmes as planned;
  5. Perform tasks pertaining to the CO CBT Programme Assistant function during the approval process for the monthly CBT distribution in WFP’s internal platform (SCOPE), including setting up the intervention, creating distribution and payment lists; etc.
  6. Support Finance colleagues in coordinating the distribution of payment instruments to FOs and in tracking the remaining stock of blank cards as well as undistributed payment instruments;
  7. Liaise with the CO Logistics Retail team regarding the onboarding of new retailers;
  8. Coordinate with the CO IT team to resolve technical issues related to CBT systems, as well as regarding other technical support required for a smooth implementation of CBT programmes;
  9. Participate in field trips to FOs to technically support the implementation of CBT programmes and train the FOs and the CPs on using WFP’s internal system (SCOPE);
    10.Update operational tracking sheets to track progress and identify gaps in the implementation of CBT programmes;
    11.Extract and compile data and support analysis as well as the the preparation of reports relevant to CBT programmes for internal clients (CBT team, activity managers, M&E, reporting/communications/donor relations, etc.)
    12.Draft the minutes and action points of the CBT operational meetings and support with tracking actions taken;
    13.Support with drafting and translating official documents;
    14.Perform other related duties as required.
