Regional coordinator | Kyrgyz Republic | 2020

Chemonics seeks a regional coordinator for the ongoing USAID Kyrgyz Republic Agro Trade Activation in Osh, Kyrgyz Republic. The project aims to support job creation, strengthen value chains, and improve the business enabling environment through interventions that boost productivity, upgrade processing, build international business-to-business linkages, facilitate access to finance, and support private sector–informed policy reform. The regional coordinator for Batken will serve in a critical role to enhance monitoring and coordination of activity results at the grassroots level. The coordinator is responsible for engaging community leaders in specific geographic areas to identify the most vulnerable. This position will be based either in Osh or Batken, Kyrgyz Republic, depending on the candidate. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Mobilize events or training sessions in the regional location
  • Perform site visits with processors or farmers upon request to monitor activities or collect data
  • Help identify new activity partners and work with grantees and field advisors
  • Send communication materials to the learning and outreach team for social media or formal activity reporting
  • Provide periodic (weekly or as agreed) to the chief of party to add to project reporting, to USAID or Chemonics
  • Assist in designing and implementing project interventions 
  • Suggest ways to include women beneficiaries in all project activities.
  • Other related duties and tasks as requested by the chief of party

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree and minimum of three years of experience in the relevant field
  • Experience implementing and managing USAID-funded projects preferred
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural, diverse environment
  • Fluency in English and Russian. Kyrgyz language skills are preferred, and Uzbek language skills optional
