The ABA Center for Human Rights is seeking an individual or organization who will monitor criminal proceedings of identified cases of potential fair trial and fundamental freedoms violations in East Africa. Trial observers monitor and take notes on criminal proceedings, gather documents from the case file, identify new cases for potential monitoring, and conduct follow-up advocacy. The individual or organization should have an extensive network of contacts within civil society in an East African country/several East African countries and should be a lawyer or legal organization.
